I've had my Joovv combo red light panel for over a month now and I wanted to share my review, my before and after and benefits that I have experienced to date. Plus, I spent a bit of time testing the EMF output on the Joov full body device so will share with you the nnEMF radiation readings below.

I've tried to keep this review brief and to the point, so I will use bulletpoints. Please watch the video above to see my full review. Otherwise, read on!
We know the science shows that it it does. But what about my experiences?
To date, after 1 month of regular daily use (5-10mins exposure to 70-100% of the body) I have noticed:
I have two 'high gums' on either side of my jaw. I believe this was the result of a mouth guard I wore for tooth grinding. Anyway, for the past 18 months I have had a very sensitive spot on the outside of two of my teeth. It was sensitive to cold and hot temperatures and nothing has been able to fix it - conventional and unconventional approaches. I figured I would just have to deal with it for the rest of my life.
About 2 weeks after regular use of the Joovv Panel - including 5-10minutes of of red light exposure on either side of my cheeks and also front on (with my mouth open), I started to notice that my tooth sensitivity was decreased.
After a month of use, one of the teeth is completely pain free. The other still flares up now and then. But I think with time and regular use I may be able to eliminate this pain once and for all.
Note - I highly doubt that this is a placebo effect, as studies have proven that red light can help regenerate dentine and assist with dental health and pain.
I'm fortunate that I don't have an issue with facial acne. But, I do get a few pimples on my arms and back. They don't bother me directly (I don't see them), but they do bother my partner (and in turn me when she tries to 'fix' them!)
As I use the Joovv on my back every day (I have to do it in halves, I really need to upgrade to the bigger Joovv Max!) I have started to notice less 'bumps' on my back. Tell a lie, Rebecca has noticed them more than me!
Again, I doubt it's a coincidence, as there is plenty of research showing red light decreases acne and improves skin health.
Sorry if this is TMI, but I'm sure I have noticed, ahem.. growth, down their. Unfortunatley I can't quantify this and I'm definitely not going to upload before and after photos, so you'l just have to take my word on this one.
And yes, I drop my pants and stand naked in front of my Joovv panel every morning.
And know I'm not totally wacky, there is solid evidence showing that red light on the testicles helps boost testosterone and libido.
I know I know, grose! And way to much information... but I wanted to share my experiences with you folk. These devices are rather expensive, so you should know these things before forking out hard earned cash.
I touched on this in the video above, and again you have to take my word for it as I'm not going to upload images here, but I have had a cyst or a growth of some sort since I was about 15 years old (I'm 30 at the time of writing). It's been with me all my adult life, my buddy (I call him Charlie... Charlie the Cyst. Only joking!)
Sometimes it becomes inflamed and gets really big and sore, and other times it shrunk ( I noticed Bio-Curcumin helped a lot with the inflammation by the way). But it's always been there and I know roughly how big it usually is.
Well, after 4 weeks of regular red light therapy, I have noticed its the smallest it's ever been. Seriously. I cannot remember a time when it was this small. It's still there, but its getting smaller.
Again, coincidence? Maybe, but when multiple coincidences start appearing you have to question if there is a driving cause..
Those are the main things I have noticed so far. I am using it after training, but it's so hard to quantify recovery and I'm not really doing anything too intense on the training front at the moment.
I want to see if I can get some hair regrowth, but I actually forget to expose the top of my head to the light. Though this is an experiment I can quantify (and would be happy sharing my before and after pictures). I'll be sure to take some before shots and start using the Joovv light on my head.
Rebecca has started using it herself, but she can be rather inconsistent with her scheduling. She thinks she has started seeing benefits with her skin, but again, she's only done a few sessions (she thought it was too woo and gimmicky, until I told her to read THIS). I can report back on her progress.
This was something I was always afraid of. I am spending 10-30minutes standing 4-10 inches from this electronic device. I know how dangerous EMF (Electromagnetic Field) exposure can be on the body, so is it safe?
I cover it in the video, so I won't go into detail here. But pretty much, if you are staying a few inches away from the panel (as described in the Joovv manual - always follow the safety instructions kids!) then you're in the safe zone.
If you go right up to the surface of the light panel, then you start getting a higher reading.
And this is why you need to investigate power irradiance when buying a red light panel (I cover this in more detail here). Some of the weaker panels (albeit cheaper) require you to be right next to the light source for proper dosing. In this scenario you are in a stronger EMF field.
To summarise, I'm happy with the EMF readings on my Joovv.
If you have read this entire article then you know what I am going to say next..
I admit its still early days, but with the scientific proof and my own anecdotal experience, red light therapy is legit and the Joovv Device is a safe and effective way to benefit from this revolutionary technology.
Seriously. I aim to spend 5-10minutes on each body part. I have the Joovv Original Combo, which has 5 light 'clusters'.
For size comparison purposes, I am 5'10" / 178cm tall. You can see how the Joovv Original compares in size to me. Its 5 clusters down, 1 across. The Joovv Max is 8 down 2 across and would be a better option for an adult.
Using this protocol, I spend a session on each body section:
That alone is 20-40minutes a day.
If I then to the 'extras', I add:
There is another 25-50minutes.
Now if I had the Joovv Max - with its 16 clusters (8 down by 2 across) it's not only wider, but longer, I could literally do:
In 10-20minutes and get most of majority of my body covered in one quick session. No raising and lowering the panel etc.
Joovv Max - better bang for your buck, and more efficient use of your time!
And you may think, well the Original is half the price of the Max, I think I would rather spend an extra 30 minutes a day and save the money. And that makes sense, but after a few weeks of using the panel, already I have decided I am going to start saving for the bigger device.
It will free up 30minutes a day - 3.5 hours a week! of my time.
I hope that gives you a bit of insight into this device.
As I mentioned, I have only been using it for 4 weeks now, but the results so far are promising.
